Among the flames which he compares to fireflies, five Florentines spied by Dante in the perpetual dusk are here represented by five reduced versions of computer-distorted lilies encircled as if in the telescopic sights of a gun, in fact by Letraset photo-registration marks which pinpoint them as unerringly as does Dante's scorn.
